"Using a combination of the latest technology and expertise, superior breathing comfort was achieved"
- Overbalanced Mechanism: As the diver descends, the medium pressure coming out of the first stage increases at a rate faster than ambient pressure. This compensates for the increased density of the breathing gas at depth.
- The Environmental Dry Chamber: The moving parts inside the regulator's first stage are protected by a double membrane system which isolates them from the environment. This makes the first stage resistant to freezing as well as keeps silt, sediment and corrosion out.
- Symmetrical Medium Pressure Chamber: The medium pressure chamber in the first stage has been redesigned so that gas is distributed evenly to all of the medium pressure ports. Enlarged passage ways increase the maximum operating depth beyond 330 ft / 100 m without sacrificing comfort.
- The Internal Deflector: This component directs and diffuses the incoming air to the mouthpiece. The air arrives to your mouth at the optimum speed to provide extreme breathing comfort.
- The Exhaust Tee: The ergonomic exhaust tee channels the exhaust bubbles out of your field of vision. The design also contributes to a reduction in exhalation effort.
- The Medium Pressure Hose: The Legend is equipped with the braided Aqua Flex hose which is more flexible, lighter and stronger than a traditional rubber hose. The Aqua Flex hose contributes to the comfort of the 2nd stage in your mouth.
- Work of Breathing: Vertically or horizontally, the work of breathing is 5 times easier than the EN 250 European standard. While breathing with a Legend, you will recreate the natural human breath.
- "Peach Skin" Varnish: The Legend LX and Lux second stages are covered with a unique "peach skin" varnish which provides extra protection as well as an incomparable finish.
- The ACD System: The Auto Closure Device is an automatic closing system available on both the yoke and DIN first stages. When the regulator is disconnected from the valve, the ACD automatically closes thereby preventing water entry. This prevents internal corrosion and preserves the lubrication
- Master Breathing System (MBS): A new, simple and effective way to adjust the breathing performance of the Legend LX second stage. The MBS controls two functions at one time. It controls the direction of air, which alters the venturi effect, as well as changes the opening effort. One control makes your diving easier.
